Obstetrics Treatments

At Sunshine Women’s Hospital, we are dedicated to providing expectant mothers with comprehensive and holistic healthcare services. From the moment of conception, we offer counseling and encourage parents to adopt a healthy lifestyle, prioritize proper nutrition, and learn relaxation and breathing techniques for labor. We also provide guidance on caring for newborns and breastfeeding.

Our hospital firmly believes in and supports the concept of natural childbirth. We prioritize the protection, promotion, and support of normal delivery to provide mothers with a safe, comfortable, and joyous birthing experience. We understand that every mother and baby is unique, and our private and aesthetically pleasing birthing suites cater to their individual needs.

We recognize that exceptional healthcare for expectant mothers requires a thorough understanding of their physical and emotional well-being, aspirations, and concerns. Our birthing unit combines medical care with a family-centric approach. We encourage family members to provide physical comfort and emotional support during labor and delivery.

Our birthing suites are conveniently located near our operation theaters to ensure a swift emergency C-section if necessary. Our en-suite rooms are cozy and welcoming, making your early moments with your newborn cherished memories. We promote breastfeeding from the moment of birth and provide baby warmers to create a comfortable and stable environment for your baby. Our maternity unit is secure to ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby.

Obstetric treatment involves all the aspects of care, ranging from pregnancy up to birth and even after birth. These include prenatal visits, ultrasound scans, pregnancy monitoring, and postnatal care.

Your first prenatal visit is supposed to be scheduled as early as you confirm the pregnancy, but this should preferably be between 6 and 8 weeks.

It depends on your pregnancy. Prenatal visits are done once per month in the early stages of pregnancy, twice a week thereafter, and once a week near the end of the pregnancy period.

Some of the tests that can be done during pregnancy include blood tests, urine tests, ultrasounds, blood pressure checks, glucose tests, and other tests.

Eat a balanced diet, take prenatal vitamins as prescribed by your doctor, exercise if the doctor advises you to, go for prenatal visits, and avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.
